Advance Directives and Medical Power of Attorney Seminar

August 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join Tressie Mathis, RN for this free community seminar on Thursday, Aug. 20, 12 PM – 1 PM, at the Anthony G. Bateman Youth Center in Tifton.  Tressie, who serves as Director of Hospice and Palliative Care for Southwell, will discuss the importance of advance directives and medical power of attorney.  These important items provide legal instructions that state the treatment you want for medical conditions when you’re unable to make decisions for yourself.

  • Learn why it’s important to plan ahead and what steps you can take.
  • Relieve caregivers and family members of decision-making burdens during times of crisis or grief.
  • Help lessen confusion or disagreement about the choices you would want people to make on your behalf.

This event is free and open to the public.  Registration is required: Click here to register

The Anthony G. Bateman Youth Center is in Tifton at 511 17th Street West.
