TRMC participates in PLIGHT Inc.’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Breakfast

Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) was a participant and supporter of PLIGHT Inc.’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Breakfast at the Tift County Recreation Department on Jan. 15.

Representatives from TRMC included Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Wellness Jill McIntyre, Southwell President/CEO Chris Dorman, Administrative Director of Applications Services and Project Management Sharmilee Joyner, Director of Security Anthony Dennard, Director of Service Excellence Beth Ryther, Asst. VP of Human Resources Lori Folsom, Georgia Sports Medicine Practice Manager Que Smith, and Director of Operations Chad Waldron.

PLIGHT (Proud Loving Individuals Giving a Hand to Teens), Inc. was organized in 1988 by various community members to combat the rising teenage pregnancy rate, widespread substance abuse among youth, and the lack of employment opportunities for black males. PLIGHT, Inc.’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Breakfast celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. King. With the theme “Love, Power and Justice,” the keynote speaker for this year’s event was the Rev. Ronnie B. Brinson, Jr.
