TRMC Foundation donates Lifepak 15 Monitor/Defibrillator to HOPE EMS

A Lifepak 15 monitor/defibrillator was recently donated to HOPE EMS by the Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation.

“The purpose of the Lifepak is to perform a diagnostic EKG while traveling to the hospital,” says Mandy Brooks, TRMC Foundation Director. “Subsequently, the technicians will transmit the results to both the Emergency Room and the doctors’ cell phone. By doing this, Tift Regional and the doctor will be able to save time by getting ready for the cardiac patient before they arrive.”

The “Hearts and Diamonds” Gala in 2023 provided funding for the Lifepak 15 monitor/defibrillator. Over $98,000 was raised through this fundraising campaign, providing these life-saving gadgets to the local community. The UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center will host this year’s “Hearts and Diamonds” Gala on March 16, 2024, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. A seated dinner, silent auction, dancing, and a diamond giveaway are all planned for the evening.
