Southwell announced that Affinity Physicians for Women will rebrand as Southwell Physicians for Women as it welcomes Ana Hernandez, M.D. to its team of OB/GYN providers.
“Although our name is changing, our commitment to quality care is not,” said OB/GYN physician Shannon Price, M.D., who serves as the practice’s medical director. “As Southwell Physicians for Women, we will continue our goal to provide the highest level of quality and compassionate care. Our patients can expect the same great providers at the same location, and we continue to accept the same insurance plans. We are also thrilled that Dr. Hernandez has joined our practice.”
Dr. Hernandez, who most recently practiced with Southern OB/GYN in Tifton, earned her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela School of Medicine in Caracas, Venezuela. She completed OB/GYN residency training at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Hernandez will provide outpatient care at Southwell Physicians for Women as well as inpatient maternity care and gynecological procedures at Tift Regional Medical Center. She is accepting new patients.
In addition to Dr. Price and Dr. Hernandez, Southwell Physicians for Women’s outpatient care team is composed of Kristin Yates Coleman, D.O.; Hannah Vickers NP-C; Marcy Tankersley, WHNP; Marlee Morris, FNP-C; Brooke Robbins, FNP; and, Mendi Stone, FNP-C.
The inpatient OB team includes Dr. Hernandez as well as Roslyn Banks-Jackson, M.D.; Kristin Yates Coleman, D.O., Robin Dillard, M.D., Dwight Hooper, M.D.; Alison Fitzgerald, CNM; Laura Callaway, CNM; Cynthia Foster, CNM; Amber Guyton, CNM; Hillary Midler, CNM; and, Shakyra Robinson-Prince, CNM.
