Southwell hosts incoming first-year medical students from PCOM – South Georgia Campus

Southwell recently had the pleasure of hosting incoming first-year Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine students from PCOM South Georgia Campus.

The students toured Tift Regional Medical Center, part of a two-week program called FIRE, providing incoming students with opportunities to prepare them for their journey in medical education.

These future medical professionals got a firsthand look at our ICU, Stepdown Unit, Emergency Department, and Heart and Vascular Center. The students ended the tour with a lunch where they heard from Southwell President and CEO Chris Dorman and Dr. Cameron Nixon, Chief Transformation Officer. We hope to see them serving our community here at Southwell in the future!
