Support our mission
You can support our mission by making a financial contribution through the Georgia HEART program and/or by donating to the Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation. Both options have significant tax advantages.
Supporting our hospitals is vital because these essential services are the cornerstone of our community’s health and wellbeing. Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC), our main hospital in Tifton, is a regional referral center that offers round-the-clock care, emergency services, maternity care, surgery, and specialized treatments. Southwell Medical in Adel provides geriatric psychiatric care, a skilled nursing facility, surgical services, and more. Both hospitals ensure access to quality healthcare for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. TRMC and Southwell Medical are also large employers, providing a significant impact on the local economy. Having a strong care healthcare system is also important for recruiting and retaining business and industry.
Ultimately, your contribution will make a positive impact on people’s lives. Hospitals are not just buildings; they are hubs of compassion and dedication. By contributing, you become part of a team that prioritizes patient wellbeing and strives for excellence.

Did you know you can make a financial contribution to Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) and/or Southwell Medical and receive a 100% state tax credit?
Georgia lawmakers enacted the Georgia HEART rural hospital organization expense tax credit program to encourage taxpayers throughout Georgia to learn more about the challenges rural hospitals face and to contribute to improve their financial condition and patient offerings.
The state allows for a 100% state tax credit for a contribution, making it attractive to individuals, married couples, and corporations considering a philanthropic gift to their local rural hospital. You can designate your state tax dollars to support Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton and/or Southwell Medical in Adel. Both of these vital hospitals provide quality, compassionate medical services for the community, including charitable and indigent care. Your contribution makes a difference!
How are the Georgia HEART funds used?
Georgia HEART funding for 2025 has been designated to support a new Maternal Fetal Medicine program at Tift Regional Medical Center. At Southwell Medical, the funds will be used to purchase radiology equipment, patient beds, wheelchairs, furniture, and advanced surgical equipment.
How do you contribute?
- Step 1: Submit your Georgia HEART tax credit application at www.GeorgiaHEART.org.
- Step 2: Make your payment to Tift Regional Medical Center and/or Southwell Medical.
- Step 3: Georgia HEART will send you a receipt to claim your state tax credit.
Our hospitals very much need these funds and – with your help – we can be sure to obtain our share! Credits are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is important to submit your Georgia HEART tax credit application now. For more information, please visit www.GeorgiaHEART.org.

Another way to support our mission is by contributing to the Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation. All donations qualify for a federal tax deduction.
The Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching healthcare in our community through fundraising, medical equipment donations, building project assistance, patient experience enhancements, medical scholarships and more.
Give to one, give to both
Consider giving to both Georgia HEART and the Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation. With Georgia HEART, you can take advantage of a 100% Georgia state tax credit. With the Tift Regional Medical Center Foundation, you can take advantage of a 100% federal tax deduction.
