Please do not enter from the main entrance; use the parking lot entrance on West 22nd Street (the street right behind the Food Lion/old Harvey’s Supermarket).

  • If you are driving north on Highway 41, turn right on West 22nd Street
  • If you are driving south on Highway 41, turn left on West 22nd Street

Please follow the directional signs and you will see the Southwell Mobile Clinic stationed in the parking lot.

After you receive your vaccination, you will be asked to wait in the parking lot for about 15 minutes for observation.

Please use the south campus entrance that leads directly to Southwell Health and Rehabilitation.  

Please follow the directional signs to the drive thru canopy.  The vaccination will be administered under the canopy while you are in you vehicle. 

After you receive your vaccination, you will be asked to wait in an adjacent parking lot for about 15 minutes for observation.

Who can receive the vaccine at this time?

Southwell is proud to serve as a community distribution center for the COVID-19 vaccine.  For this first phase, vaccinations are limited to certain populations, including:

  • Persons over the age of 65
  • First responders, such as police officers, fire fighters, and EMS personnel
  • Healthcare workers who are not employed by Southwell (Southwell employees will continue to receive vaccines through Employee Health)

What kind of COVID-19 vaccine is Southwell using and how many doses will I have to receive?
  • Southwell will be using either the Moderna or Phizer vaccine for its COVID-19 Vaccination Drive Thru Clinic, which each require two doses.
Will I be charged for the COVID-19 vaccination?
  • No, the vaccination is free.
What else should I know?
    • Complications are unlikely, but you will be asked to park in a designated area for 15 minutes after you receive your vaccination shot. This is to ensure you don’t have an allergic reaction, or any other issues.
  • Please note that it takes time for your body to build protection after any vaccination. You are asked to continue wearing a mask, social distance from others, avoid large gatherings, and wash your hands often.

    After you receive your COVID-19 vaccination shot, Southwell encourages you to participate in the CDC’s v-safe program.

    • V-safe is a smartphone-based tool that uses text messaging and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins after you receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
    • Through v-safe, you can quickly tell the CDC if you have any side effects after getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Depending on your answers, someone from CDC may call to check on you and get more information.
